Community Engagement
Building a strong community starts with honest, open communication and active involvement. Reginald believes in bringing residents, businesses, and city leaders together so everyone’s voice is heard. He holds developers accountable and works tirelessly to ensure the community’s needs come first.
Accomplishments in Community Engagement:
- Led partnerships with G-Dot and the City of Atlanta to secure critical infrastructure and streetscape improvements.
- Advocated successfully for expanded MARTA bus services to improve transit access in District 11.
- Ensured residents are actively engaged and informed whenever developers or businesses seek to invest in the community.
- Helped local entrepreneurs obtain grants up to $50,000 to start and grow their businesses.
- Conducted thorough resident road assessments to identify and address critical community needs.
Economic Development
A healthy economy means good jobs and new businesses that lift up neighborhoods. Reginald supports local initiatives that revitalize commercial corridors, bring essential services, and create opportunities for entrepreneurs right here in District 11.
Proven Results in Economic Development:
- Organized workshops and economic development meetings that empowered residents and business owners to revitalize commercial corridors.
- Engaged neighbors directly to identify the types of businesses that would best serve and uplift the community.
- Commissioned a real estate consultant to conduct a detailed study on neighborhood needs, including attracting grocery stores and essential services.
- Secured grant funding to support this community-driven economic planning.
Public Safety
Keeping neighborhoods safe is a top priority for Reginald. He works hand-in-hand with police, fire, and EMS teams to ensure they have the tools and support needed, while also building programs that prevent crime.
Demonstrated Leadership in Public Safety:
- Collaborated closely with the Police and Safety Zoning Commander and officers to address community concerns and advocate for updated equipment and resources.
- Supported the establishment of a new fire station and the renovation of EMS centers along key corridors.
- Organized appreciation events to recognize first responders and ensure they have the resources necessary to protect neighborhoods.
- Promoted proper use of 911 services to improve emergency response and increase police presence.
- Maintained ongoing communication with safety officials to implement crime prevention strategies and build community trust.
Healthcare Awareness
Access to healthcare and health education is critical for all residents. Reginald is committed to bringing resources, wellness events, and information to the community so everyone can stay informed, stay healthy, and live better lives.
Impactful Initiatives in Healthcare Awareness:
- Facilitated monthly health initiatives featuring city and industry leaders to address important healthcare topics.
- Organized Health and Wellness Fairs that provided vital resources and education to residents.
- Hosted a 5K Run with Deerwood Academy to encourage healthy lifestyles.
- Supported CPR training classes to equip residents with lifesaving skills.
Quality City Services
Residents deserve city services that work — from well-maintained roads and sidewalks to clean streets and reliable water service. Reginald holds the city accountable to deliver the quality services District 11 expects and deserves every day.

- Actively addressed community concerns such as sinkholes by coordinating timely repairs with city agencies.
- Ensured fire hydrants remained operational and accessible following disruptions.
- Reported and helped resolve erosion issues under bridges to protect infrastructure, including on Redwine Road.
- Advocated for pedestrian safety by securing a crosswalk near a townhome adjacent to a local school.
